MINI Photo Box - Guerilla Marketing Campaign

An unconventional Marketing Campaign was created for the MINI Family 2011 where people could take part by getting photographed in a Photo Box and see their picture a few minutes later on a giant billboard. People from all over the world could take part as the billboard screen was broadcasted on the MINI facebook page where users were able participate via facebook app.

To create that Photo Box, mehr:wert was asked to realize the technical concept and coordination. A Flash/AIR application was developed for the Box to let the user choose a MINI and get photographed. Then a composition was set up with the photo and the chosen car and printed out for the participant with an unique ID. The composition was uploadet to a server, moderated and shown on a giant LED billboard on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. Later on the participant could get active on facebook and look up his composition by entering his ID.

The Photo Box has been used in several cities like Innsbruck, Milan and Rome now and got updated and customized for the different requirements.

My part:

Technical coordinator for the agency (Box application), setting up the predesigned Interface in Flash, developing and coordinating the printout process with Adobe AIR/AS3.
